We are a small office with a variety of pc operating systems and a Mac. We have a board member who has set us up with Google Aps and is the administrator for our emails. He claims he CANNOT read them. I absolutely believe he can and is. I need to know a) IF if CAN read them and b) how can I prove it?

Hello. That is entirely possible. Legally, in the workplace there is no assurance of privacy and email may be read. However, this is usually controlled by company policy. If you can tell me a little more about the situation, including what email system you are using and why you think the email is being read, I can try to help you further.

This board member is the one who set us up on Google Aps and is the administrator for the office and board emails, 18 people in all. He claims that he is not able to access our emails once we change our passwords. I don't think that is true. I swore in our board meeting last night that he absolutely could not read any emails. I need confirmation that he is ABLE to read them.

I believe he is correct - it is possible that a Google adminstrator could access your mail, but not the person who set it up, assuming you did change your password. It would be different if your mail was on your own company server. Of course that does not prevent anyone from "hacking" into your email, or another recipient of the email from passing it along.
