An IP conflict is when 2 machines on your network have the same IP address. In order to resolve that, you can just change the IP address on one of those machines. Let me know if you need more detail on how to do that.
How do I change IP address for the PC which is on the domain because its the only one I can get through
Are you on that PC at work, or is a PC at your house?
AT work
Do you have an IT staff there? If you do, you may want them to fix this. Otherwise it could cause more conflicts. If you don't, let me know. I will give you some steps on resolving this yourself.
there is no one give me some steps to solve it
OK. I still need a little more information from you: Are you able to connect to the Internet from this machine. 1) Click Start -> Run 2) Type the following and press enter: cmd 3) Then in the screen that comes up, type the following and press enter: ipconfig /all 3) Let me know what it says for the following fields: DHCP Enabled IP Address Subnet Mask Default Gateway DNS Servers
I'm not sure of IP addresses: give me steps to solve IP conflict I will forward them to our IT technician on Monday
In order to give you those steps, I need that information with the IP Address. You need to change the IP address, but the new IP address would have to be based off that information that I requested.
I only know one IP address for the PC which is: 172.18.32.144
this is the only one i have
Can you run that command from the machine that's having the issue? I will need tht information in order to tell you how to configure that machine properly. But if you want, you can just run that command later on that machine, and then use the information to fill out the correct IP information. You will just need to change the last number of the IP address to a number that isn't in use. You can put the information in at the following place: Click Start -> Control Panel. Go to Network Connection Double click the connection that you are using Click Properties. Click Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) Select Use the following IP address and fill out the information. You will need to change the last number of the IP address(make it a number between 2 and 250). Just keep trying different numbers until you no longer that that error.
