I recently purchased a Raptor MX70. I have some older AutoCAD programs (2006)that I need to load from CDs. Should I purchase an external CD/DVD drive? Or could I simply copy the CDs to a flash drive and load them from there?

Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is***** will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

You could copy program installer CDs / DVDs to a flash drive. But that might not work to install the programs, depending upon what program exactly it is, and how well-'protected' against such copying the program is.

Go with an external CD/DVD drive, to be quite sure... unless the programs are the least-costly and least-likely to be copy-protected.
