Customer: ? I need help using my swissbit usb stick
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: good question it wont open so how can I tell
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: i have an new computer as of Friday with a new windows operation system
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: when i plug it in it says i don't have administrative permission

I was not able to continue with your service. It took to long and I had other things to do.
The problem is not fixed yet. I believe this issue is due to upgrading from Windows xp to Windows 10

There is nothing like USB works on one OS won't work in other windows version. USB stick should work in all Windows versions. Your post points that its due to permission problem the USB device is not being accessed..

It would be helpful if i can check the issue via remote session..

You may also mention what happens when you perform below steps

  1. Connect USB device to computer
  2. Open My Computer
  3. Check it displays your USB device. If so, right click device > Click Open

Can you open USB drive this way..
