Customer Question

Hi, since my Windows 10 updates were installed, I had a lot of problems & paid to have a local Staples service to make sure everything is running perfectly. But my wireless keyboard and mouse still don't work
JA: How much experience do you have with this particular machine?
Customer: I've used this laptop, wireless keyboard & mouse for years now but it's just since the last Windows 10 updates that they don't work
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Not since I just brought my laptop home from being serviced at Staples. Everything was thoroughly checked & it's all up to date, minus the keyboard & mouse
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Just that if my laptop is to be operated by a techie remotely, I'll have to restart my connection on my laptop. Right now I'm using a computer beside my laptop because I find it hard on my arms to type on the laptop

Hi. My name is***** you for your question and the opportunity to assist.

Try rolling back the computer to the state it was in before the updates.

Right-click the start menu button and select Run.

The Run box will open.

In the text area type: rstrui and click OK.

System Restore will open. Click Next.

Put a checkmark in the box labeled "Show more restore points" (if visible)

You'll see a list of restore dates. Select a date when the keyboard and mouse were

working and click Next. Click Finish and start the restore.

This will undo the updates and if all goes well the keyboard and mouse will start working.

Let me know the result please.
