Hello and thank you for choosing JUSTANSWER.com

.

I think your SCSI adapter is starting to fail.

.

The only way to test this, is to replace the adapter, with a new one.

.

So....unfortunately, I don't see how you can test it without getting a NEW SCSI adapter.

Or you could try a different printer with the SCSI interface....but finding one might pose too difficult to even fathom.

Although a new SCSI adapter is quite common on the net, and overall quite cheap.

For a short time it came up and ran for about 30 minutes and then I cut it off and then came back later to find that it would not
the computer would not FIND the scanner. This is w en you come and tell me the question?

Yeah this is a classic symptoms of a SCSI adapter that is starting to fail.

.

They dont fail all at once. They start to fail, and start to work intermittently, and about 2 or 3 days after the problem starts....it will eventually fail completely.
