I don't know.
Expert:  Jess M. replied 1 year ago.

Hi, thank you for writing back. Is the problem computer a laptop or a desktop (tower) computer?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Laptop
Expert:  Jess M. replied 1 year ago.

Thank you for writing back with that information.

I believe this is a Windows laptop. Or is this a Macbook?

Now, are you no longer able to use it because it shuts down or restarts immediately? Or you can still use it even though it shuts down or restarts without any warning?

Please let me know.

It's a pc not mac.I tried to shut down the shut down. I unplugged, I did control alt delete, I held the power button.I even tried cussing. It's not listening.
Expert:  Jess M. replied 1 year ago.

Ok. So you are saying that when you turn on the PC, it immediately shuts down and you can no longer use it at all because of this intermittent shut down issues?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It's constant. Won't start.
Expert:  Jess M. replied 1 year ago.

Please describe to me the process or scenario when you TURN ON the PC. What do you see on screen or what messages on the screen are shown. Do you hear beeps and approximately how many seconds when it restarts?

Please describe

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I opened the lid and see a circle of dots as usual for a shit down. No sounds, and I never turn off the machine, I always use the system shut down. I tried all the things I said and nothing works.
Expert:  Jess M. replied 1 year ago.

If the problem is turning off the machine, please try to press and hold the power button until the system turns off.

Give it 10 to 15 minutes to cool off, and then press the power button again to turn it ON.

See if the system loads fine this time.

Keep me posted.

Did that. Same problem.
Expert:  Jess M. replied 1 year ago.

So the problem is, the system will turn off, but it will not boot? I mean, when you turn it on, what exactly do you see on screen? Do you see your laptop manufacturer's logo and stops there?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I see nothing but shut down. I can't turn it off or on.
Expert:  Jess M. replied 1 year ago.

I thought you just did what I asked you to do: press and HOLD the power button till the system turns off.

Did you do that?

And are you saying that when you TURN ON the computer, the screen will keep showing that it is shutting down instead of it booting up?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I did the press and hold of the power button and nothing happened. All I saw was the same shut down screen.
Expert:  Jess M. replied 1 year ago.

Pressing and holding the power button in less than 90 seconds shall turn OFF the computer. Please try it again -- press and hold the power button for 3 minutes and see if it turns off.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
OK, no change.
Expert:  Jess M. replied 1 year ago.

Did the system shut down?

Expert:  Jess M. replied 1 year ago.
