Was the USB drive subjected to any kind of shock or damage or heat or cold, bumped about, dropped, etc. before the problem occurred?
Also... check the USB port on the computer. Try using a different USB port on the computer, preferably one that is far distant, physically, from the previously used USB port.
Given that the drive is listed as 'USB 3.0' it may not work if your USB port or ports are not operating in USB 3.0 mode. Or, if they cannot. So also check in Device Manager and see if you have USB 3.0 ports still.
