I am working with Express Scribe Pro and an Infinity Foot Pedal.

Customer Question

I am working with Express Scribe Pro and an Infinity Foot Pedal. Every time I try to have ES recognize the foot pedal, when I press any of the fwd, rewind or play keys, it may or may not recognize one but not all three - I have to perform the set up numerous times.

Hello,
I am Pete, and I'll be happy to assist with your question today.
Are you using a laptop or a desktop computer?
Have you installed any drivers for the foot pedal?
Test the pedal on a different computer to help confirm if it works ok there, or let me know if it has trouble working on any computer...

It works in a desk top but not in the laptop (well at least intermittently) and no I haven't installed any drivers. Don't even know what they are

Hi Pamela,
The problem may be that many laptops do not output sufficient power over USB to allow the foot pedal to run properly.
If it works ok on a desktop but not on a laptop then try using a powered USB hub to help ensure it is receiving enough power:
