I have a Logitech Z515 speaker. I am trying to pair it to my iPad However my iPad bluetooth is not finding the device. Yes the speaker is turned on and bluetooth is on in the iPad settings. why can't it recognize the speaker?
Already Tried: turned off my iPad and turned it back on turned off and on bluetooth checked to ensure the speaker is on
Sounds like you have done everything correctly to me
Give this a try, it has been known to do the trick
Let me know if it works for you, if not ill work on a different idea
What you did in the first place should have connected it to your ipad without problems, so a little tricky
It's very strange. My iPhone detects the Z515 but gives me the msg "make sure z515 speaker is turned on and in range" I am sitting within 2 feet of the speaker and it is turned on.
My iPad does not even detect the z515 speaker
Could the speaker be defective?
Do you have a laptop you can plug in the usb receiver to THEN try to pair it with one other device
One thing I do know is that you can only pair with ONE other device
Yes I have used it on my ASUS laptop
Yes it is possible that is is defective as you appear to have done everything perfectly to get it going 100%
It should work flawlessly with what you have done
The fact that bluetooth cant even find the speaker is very strange
Do you have another bluetooth device that you can just test to see if your ipad sees it?
I can go to my car and get my jabra. My iPhone is paired to it already, but not my iPad
Yes, that sounds good. Then we can see if its the ipad settings or the speaker
If it detects your jabra then you know something is not right with the speaker
VERY STRANGE my iPad is not recognizing the Jabra either.
Have you gone through all the bluetooth settings on your ipad to ensure that its on and set to discover new devices?
At this point I think you will agree it is a settings issue with your ipad
Probably/hopefully something simple
I have only gone into settings general and turned on bluetooth. Is there something else I should do?
When you go into the bluetooth settings what do you see?
I see
bluetooth ON
Device the circling motion looking for device
Nokia 6350-Id - not paired
See the problem is....
Thats exactly what needs to be done to discover your devices
Thats all you should need to do
I honestly think you should take a trip to the apple store and see if there is a software problem with your ipad
I do not see anything wrong with what you are doing other than the ipad is not doing what it is supposed to be doing
Another strange thing is that my iPhone isn't recognizing the Nokia
Its possible that it is a compatibility issue with that one, POSSIBLE
I do not have a list of compatible devices but that could be the case
Usually when something isnt being discovered by bluetooth, it is just not compatible
I do know that that speaker IS compatible with the IPAD
i turned off the Nokia so the iPad isn't recognizing it. But it still won't discover the Z515 speaker.
I can't win though. My iPHone recognizes the speaker but says it is out of range.
My iPad won't even discover the z515 speaker
On the top of your ipad do you see the BT symbol at the top?
mmmm...sorry what is BT
Sorry Bluetooth
the BT system is grey on my iPAD and white on my iPhone
I mean BT symbol
Now my iPad has found my iPhone
Sounds like your bluetooth is "drunk"
You may want to take it in and see if they can fix it
It does not seem to be behaving correctly
it's less than a week old! Already drunk...it's not a good sign.
Which IPAD do you have? Is it the latest and greatest or an older first gen?
I do know that the older ones have problems pairing with this speaker
I'm really not sure because my work bought it for me as a gift. But I think it's the new one.
How could I tell
What is written on the back of the ipad?
There are 12 different specs and 2 generations
IPAD and IPAD 2
iPad 32GB
model A1416
Ok first generation, ITS possible that the speaker wont connect to it cause it may not be supporting A2DP profile to find the speaker
Did you follow my first steps that I gave you?
yes I did everything.
There are no more tricks on this one, I would have to say that the ipad is just not compatible with the speaker.
It should show up with all your settings being correct
ok thanks
Your welcome, if you get time, make a quick call to your local apple store too
You have done everything there is to do to discover the speaker, for sure
Normally a very simple process
