I own 6 HP Elite (v1) Wireless Keyboards. I do not have receivers for these. But they have a connect button on bottom side. Since Logitech makes keyboards for HP, can I get 6 Logitech receivers that will work with my HP keyboards? The HP part number is XXXXX or 505174-ZH1.
Already Tried: I called HP, but was transferred between four unhelpful (or uninformed) salespeople.
Welcome, how are you today? Please allow me a moment as I prepare an answer or inquire further information for the problem. Thank you.Unfortunately, the way HP made those keyboards, they can't even have a new receiver bought from HP. The reason for this is that each keyboard works on a slightly different frequency to reduce interference between devices. Do to this way of manufacturing there may be as many as 10 or more different dongle/keyboard combinations. With this being said: Although logitech helps in the production of many of the keyboards, their products will not be cross compatible. I even saw that the keyboard uses a Bluetooth type connection and I looked into seeing about connecting qth a general Bluetooth dongle , but a quick search shot down that idea.I am sorry that I could not provide any better news. I hope you have a wonderful day and if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask me. It is always my pleasure to be of assistance. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
By a different frequency, do you mean that one will use 2.41 while another will use 2.45 ghz frequency?I have a hard time understanding where you found that this can use a Bluetooth type connection. Can you provide a link?
I think the frequency change is less dramatic. As in 2.450 to 2.459. Although I am not sure for sure I could find out. As for the bluetooth, the product specification sheet called the dongle a Bluetooth like dongle. Which was wrong information, but I bad mentioned it to show you that I was attempting to find further solutions.I am sorry for the confusion that I caused with that statement.Once again if you have any further questions about this issue please do not hesitate to ask. I am always here to assist you. Thank you.

I do not know how much you get paid to answer this question. I do not understand why JustAnswer would not let me know this information.
I was under the impression that we as experts get paid what you offer for the question (Plus you can offer bonuses if you were very satisfied.) I can look at my records and see what I am paid for this question, but unfortunately, I do not know our our Terms of Service as Experts to know if I can release that information (I'd have to clear this with a mod). If you're worried that we don't get paid enough: It's enough to keep us happy. If you're worried we get paid too much: There's sometime we don't get paid for perfectly good responses because a customer receives their question, fixes their problem, and then forgets to rate us. So in the end, it all evens out. Any further questions that I may assist you with?
As a monthly subscription customer I do not offer any amount. When I accepted your answer an option displayed which allowed me to optionally pay a bonus. But since I do not know how much you got paid, I do not know if a bonus is fair.
Oh I understand now. I did not realize we also had a subscription based service. I just became an expert about two weeks ago. Since I have not been responded to on such matters of pay when asked if I can disclose them, I will just says this: More than five. Less than ten.I appreciate you providing me with some insight from a customer's perspective, this can definitely be useful. I hope you have a pleasant day and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask, it is my pleasure to assist.
