I own the logitech mm50 speakers. The outlet where I plug in the power cord came off of the board it was glued to. Nothing appears broken on the board or small plastic square containing the outlet. Can this be fixed?
Already Tried: I tried to re-glue the square so the four contact points lined up and then plugged it back in to see if it would charge. Battery has been dead for along time (1 year)
Hi, my name is XXXXX XXXXX welcome to JustAnswer.I will be honest with you and tell you on the front end that your speaker set is most likely dead and will not be able to be repaired. From your description, there are only a couple of possibilities. Either the AC adapter is bad or there is an internal issue with the circuitry or connectors on the main unit. The only way to determine this for sure would be to attempt to power the speakers up with a known-good adapter. If the issue is with the main unit itself, more times than not it simply will have to be replaced. Since you are passed the warranty period, I would suggesting contacting Logitech's support group via phone, which you can do via the information at the following link:http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support/support-contactusThey will be able to list out all your options and confirm whether or not the unit will need to replaced.I really wish I had better news for you, but that is the situation you're looking at.If you have any other questions on this, just let me know by using the "Continue the Conversation" tab. Thank you for your help. That's what I was afraid of. It sounds like it will cost more to fix than replace
Unfortunately Shiela, that is often the case with electronics. Sometimes we just have to let them go and buy something new. Like I said, I wish I had an easy fix for you! Here at JustAnswer, we only receive proper credit for assisting our customers if our answer receives a positive rating, so please remember to rate the answer for me if you don't mind.
