let me know how it goes
i dont know how to remove the battery it is an acer aspire s3 and very flat
ok
let me give you the steps
At the bottom of the laptop there is a battery reset hole
push and hold the tiny button for 10 seconds
ok have done that
now turn on the computer
i followed your instructions at the top- screen is still all white
the whole screen is white
or partially
the whole screen is white- no text nothing but just a white screen
at the bottom side
do you see two latches
no there are no latches
its inbuilt
did you unplug the acadapter
unplug the acadapter
and then reset the battery from the bottom'
hold down the button using a paper clip for 10 seconds
this is exactly what I did earlier. I have repeated it twice and it doesnt do anything
how old is the laptop?
3 months
this laptop comes with a built in battery pack
yes
which cannot be removed to reset the computer completely
however
i know
if we open it the warrany will be terminated
and i know if we open it remove the battery and put it back in will make the computer work again
this is my second Acer Asipre the first one crashed with a hard drive problem when I had it for 2 weeks and had to be replaced with this one- I am beginning to think they are LEMONS
but i dont want you warranty to be terminated
in this case
Hp is the best brand to be trusted
anyways
the only way to remove the battery is to take the back off removind all 12 screws- I certainly dont want to do that with a brand new computer
solution to this
is to call up Acer and tell them the issue as the screen is all white you will get a replacement
I have an HP laptop for work and it hasnt been great- has had the mother board replaced when only 6 months old- becuase it was so unreliable I bought the Acer myself so I would have backup and a reliable computer. I am guessing I am going to have to take it back to where I bought it
thanks
yes you can get it replaced from there
