i have an old german mantle clock. ive taken it to a reputable clock repair shop for cleaning brought it home and it ean great for 2 weeks. now its freezing at 10 past the hour every 5 or 6 hours after which it takes the chimes a full hour to reset. ive taken the clock back 3 times and have a great 2 weeks then the problem returns...freezing at 10 past. if i tip it over gently, the shock will get the hour to chime and all will be well for a couple o hours. what am i doing wrong?

Grandfather clock stops after about 30 minutes. The tick/tock starts out even and then the tock gets short and ultimately the clock stops. We live in an old building with uneven floors but the clock is level according to my "level."

I have a HERMLE 340-020 movement that I bought off ebay. I built the clock and put it in. The problem is that it plays the westminister measures correctly, but chimes hours forever - it chimed 62 o'clock the last time I move the hands to six oclock.

Any ideas?
