Have Clock Problems? Ask a Clock Expert and Get Answers ASAP
Hi, My name is ***** ***** it is my pleasure to assist you. First make sure it is level both ways, next if the clock has a pendulum and you start the pendulum swinging and it stops after a few minutes you will have to adjust the pendulum leader left to right or right to left that is what the pendulum hangs from you have to have an even tick tock. Next if the clock was wound before being shipped the heat could have made the old oil gummy inside the mainsprings causing the mainsprings to stick not allowing the mainsprings to release the power to run your clock and the movement will need to be cleaned and re oiled. Try this option out and let me know what happens and if you do not feel comfortable doing this yourself let me know your zip code location and I'll find a clock repair company for you. Thanks Mike
