The clock circuit on my 1968 Thunderbird has a short

Customer Question

Hi, The clock circuit on my 1968 Thunderbird has a short circuit. The clock works fine when I connected it to a separate power source (no major draw, only used power when re winding). Are there other items on this circuit? Have you had experience with a dead short on this circuit? Thanks! Mark

Which engine came in this?

I doubt if wiring diagrams back then will include the clock but what doesn't work when the fuse is removed or when it popped?

If the clock is the only thing that goes out, I would run a new wire.

is this a hardtop or sedan?

looking up the wiring diagrams for the 7.0, it appears that the clock is the only thing on that fuse's circuit.
