I have a 1975 2 liter truck engine in my 1927 model T. Up until now the engine was performing good. Now the engine is hard to start and when you get it started it runs very rough, wont idle and dies. When you give it gas it feel like it is lmissing badly jerking the entire car, Back fires and white smoke out of the exhaust. I have done the following
clean plugs twice. found a carbon build up on 2 of the plugs
engine is getting spark
Pulled valve cover. Found no broken rocker arms or springs. the cam shaft looked good.
have 2 su carbs with gas bowl. Found one of the two floats had gas in it. Replaced the float with no improvement.

It sounds to me like a blown head gasket. Perform an engine compression test to confirm.
