Customer Question

472 cu. in. 1970 caddie in storage not run for 10/15 plus years, started right up with a little gas poured in the carb. runs and sounds great. lifters are not making any noise ran it for [15 min ] no oil coming up to the top of the engine [rocker] shaft and over the valves . the engine has no oil in at this time. I don't know where to blow air into the oil passages to try to clear them or what type of oil to put in the engine to get the bypass valve working if it would be stuck open

Best thing would be to get a quart of Rislone and add to engine oil. Run the engine for 15-20 minutes, this should help to clear oil passages. Then change engine oil and filter.
