1986 Corvette Pace Car. Low beams do not work. gh Beams

Customer Question

1986 Corvette Pace Car.
Low beams do not work.
High Beams work.
Changed the 3 relays next to vacuum canister. 2 6 pin and 1 4 pin called a isolation relay.
Changed both headlamps.
cleaned up contacts and used dielectric grease on pins.
Low beams stopped working while driving in a violent rain storm. Coincidence? or excess water took something out?
Should I now look at changing light switch or dimmer?

My name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I noticed that your question was not getting a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.

From what you have described here this may be a fault with the dimmer switch itself. Most likely the head light switch is o.k. as the high beams do work still. This will need tested with a multi meter to be sure the dimmer switch is the cause here.I can try and walk you through some of this testing if you want just let me know.

If more help is needed, use the reply tab to continue our conversation. If no further assistance is needed, kindly rate my service. You can rate at any time and we can continue to work on your question as this will not close out your question. Thanks Pete.
