Is this the Cutlass?
Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.
I see the Cutlass 442 in 1972 came with an optional L75 455 CID V8 as well as the standard Oldsmobile 350 V8.
Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.
I read that that number 6 might refer to a 1970 engine with 2.000" intake valves.

Check the casting number, if it's 403859

In 1972 the VIN will indicate engine size:
Code H is the base 350 2-bbl single exhaust.
Code J is 350 2-bbl dual exhaust.
Code K is 350 4-bbl single exhaust.
Code M is 350 4-bbl dual exhaust.
