My 1989 t bird is overheating and spitting coolant out the over flow and fan wont turn off

The fact that the fan won't come on might be the problem with the overheating. Fix that fan first then see if it still overheats. Is this the 3.8l? Is it supercharged or not? have you already checked the fuse and/or swapped/replaced any fan relays?
