Someone hit my car and bent the frame. Is it worth fixing? I have been told that it is never going to be same. Is that true?

6v_man_in_12v_world :

Good morning, my name is Walter.

6v_man_in_12v_world :

"Worth" can have a different values depending on what the car means to you. Purely from a standpoint of -- "Will it cost you more to fix than the repaired car is worth?" -- it's quite likely that it will.

6v_man_in_12v_world :

For others, if it was the first car you bought new, a car that has been in the family for a long time, etc., than "worth" takes on a different meaning beyond simply a zero sum game. Only you would be able to weigh any personal attachment.

6v_man_in_12v_world :

Depending on the extent of the damage, your car can likely be correctly repaired so long as who is doing the work can execute it correctly.

6v_man_in_12v_world :

If you don't want the frustration and expense of such a project though, the smart money is probably just going out and finding another unwrecked example of what you had before.

6v_man_in_12v_world :

I hope I've helped in some way with the decision you're trying to make. If you'd like to discuss further, please don't hesitate to ask.
