I have a frame that i need to get the serial numbers off of, but a cable has rub part of them off, what can i do to restore the numbers, i see them do it on tv with some sort of acid, can you help, Thanks

The chemicals you need for recovering obliterated serial numbers is only sold to labs and businesses that are licensed to handle it. Some of the chemicals that is used in the process is listed below. If the numbers is worn off to much they can't be recovered.

 

Acid etching chemicals - nitric acid,ferric chloride and a restora-a-gel electro polishing.
