Customer Question

I have Town and Country,
JA: What year is your Town and Country?
Customer: 2011. The locking button, only, on the key fob stopped working.
JA: Have you checked the fob's battery?
Customer: No, but all other buttons work fine.
JA: Are you fixing your Town and Country yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I've tried resetting using the door locking mechanism. No luck
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: NO everything else works well

Is there a way to fix or reset the locking button on the key fob
Expert:  Chris replied 10 days ago.

If it is ONLY the lock button on the fob that does not work, then the fob itself has a failed contact on the circuit board. If the other buttons work, then the fob will need to be replaced and programmed to the van. You can have the dealer or a locksmith do this for you. There is no reset for just the lock button.

Of course that is what the dealer told me. and for $100+ they will be glad to do that.
Not really helpful Chris

Unfortunately I wasted $16. Another good lesson learned
Expert:  Chris replied 10 days ago.

Well I have to be honest with you. You cannot reset a fob to fix a failed lock button. It has to be replaced. If I told you anything different, then that would not be fair to you. Do you not agree?

I am just being truthful.

You could save some $$ and buy a used one from Ebay and have it programmed.
