Chrysler Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Good evening and welcome to JustAnswer!!My name is ***** ***** I have worked for a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dealership for 19 years and I will do my best to help.
Have you connected a scantool to retrieve the codes to see what is going on? If not you will need to see what codes it has in order to get it fixed. You can rent or borrow one from your local parts store.. Also while you have the scantool connected it would be a good idea to go ahead and let me know when you have it connected so we can do a few tests to diagnose the issue so when you return to the parts store you can pick the part up..
If you have disconnected the battery and it still will not start then will the remote lock/unlock the doors? Will the engine crank over or not? Are your headlghts bright?
Yes I'm here, I was replying as I have other customers I'm helping as well..
Ok if the engine will not turn over it could be a bad WIN module which is the part you stick your key into. Do you see a red light in the dash on or just the ETC lightning bolt?
At this time I will need to know what codes it has before I can determine what is going on.. I would need to know if the WIN module is giving the PCM(Engine Computer) the "Ok to Start"message. If yes then we need to check the codes in the PCM, and if not then it's likely a bad WIN module.
