Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

Accessing the latch for replacement requires removal of the carrier plate in addition to the door panel.

To remove the door panel you need to remove the small panel behind the mirror. There is a screw behind the handle and two in the pull cup under a trim cover. From there the panel is held on with push in fasteners, you'll need to work your way around the panel with a door panel clip tool popping them loose. Once the panel is off then you can unplug the electrical connectors and remove the cable from the handle.

Then the carrier plate will need to be removed. The window glass needs to be removed, the door wiring harness is removed at the A pillar.

The linkage is removed from the door latch, the bolts that hold the latch to the door shell removed, then ten carrier plate nuts, and then the carrier plate can be removed from the door. Once the carrier plate is removed from the door then the latch can be removed from the carrier plate.
