26 lbs doesn't sound enough to me.
You also need the ignition and fueling maps altered by a tuner, on a dyno.
I'm in Australia, so the system only does phone calls for US techs.
Did your kit come with a reprogrammed PCM?
Or is the kit a supercharger and ancillary parts only?
Have you had any phone contact from another tech?
Pinging is a sure sign of the ignition timing map being too advance for boost pressure.
Common when adding boost to a fairly high compression engine.
