Customer Question

My 07' Chrylser dosen't start after it's been run for a while 20 minutes. Let it sit for about 2 hours and it cranks right up. A cold morning first start of the day - cranks right up. Replaced the battery and the same thing happens. Please help.
JA: Will the headlights turn on? Is the battery fully charged?
Customer: Yes and yes. Put a brand new battery in and same result.
JA: What is the model of your '07 Chrysler?
Customer: Touring edition 3.5 liter engine
JA: Are you fixing your Touring yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It's at the mechanic now but he is puzzled as well. So far just tried a new battery. It won't even take a jump start/boost when it's hot.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

Has the mechanic scanned it for faults? I would suspect the crankshaft speed sensor- when it gets hot the resistance will rise, until it is out of spec. Once it cools down it will read again.
