Hi Im David. did you use a new t stat gasket? is it leaking? did you bleed the coolant system after fill up? does the radiator hose to the t stat housing get hot after the car warms up?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

It does sound as if the problem is that the system was not bled properly, or this overheating may be related to whatever the actual problem was you were attempting to repair when replacing the coolant sensor.

How was the system bled?

What was the problem you were trying to repair when replacing the coolant sensor?
