The trunk lid is stuck in up position will not close the hard top is down but trunk lid will not clsr
JA: Have you tried silicone spray or WD-40?
Customer: On what part god idea but where I can hear motors turning
JA: What is the model/year of your Chrysler?
Customer: 2008 limited
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Would like to fix dealership is couple miles away have not tried anything one web site said to disconnect battery another said to not do that because it would eliminate error codes. - it has been a cost effective car with few problems and great to drive

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

The problem may be mechanical or electrical. If the trunk or tonneau will not physically move due to a mechanical failure then obviously it's not going to move, but the power top control module may be stopping operation due to an incorrect input from a microswitch. A scan tool will be needed to accurately diagnose the problem if a physical issue cannot be found visually.
