It won't start are it won't turn over
JA: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded?
Customer: No not corroded and we tight them up good and we tried to jump it off
JA: What is the model/year of your Chrysler?
Customer: 2005 Chrysler 300
JA: Are you fixing your 300 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: We tried taping on starter Jumping it off In unhooking the battery and hooking it back up
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: We check the wires sometime the light come on on the dash some time it don't we changed the starter relay to

there is all lot of problem on this issue .

The dealer will update the software in the pcm first and if that dont work replacement will be required .

1- but the obvious needs checking first , have you checked for 12 volt on starter ?

2- is the battery fully charged and holding 12 volts ,at the time key in start position, check with voltmeter

3- you tried tapping on starter but are you getting 12 volts to it and ground.

4- do you have a Chrysler scanner or equivalent to run a diagnostic scan on it

Since you mentioned that the instrument cluster will flicker

the BCM module needs checking also , if the cluster not coming on the anti theft system can t recognize the key and it want let it start

I sent you link of location , under the hood on the fuse box ( FICM) front control module another name for it)

this is a website you can send yours in and they rebuild it for you

then the dealer want be need since it comes preprogramed to your car with correct vin# ***** mileage
