I hear fuel pump hum when I turn the key.but no fuel up front. I shoot o little Starter Fluid on the intake it shut down while driving

If you can shoot starting fluid in the breather and it starts up then you have a fuel delivery issue. You may hear the pump but there is no fuel to the engine. I would replace the fuel pump to resolve your issues..
