Hello, my name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I have noticed that your question was not getting a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here. In order for the engine to start and stay running you need good spark at the spark plugs, injector pulse at the injector and proper fuel pressure. If you can have your mechanic start with checking each one of these thing and post back with the result as well as running a systems scan to see if there are any fault codes setting I will see if I can help you determine the cause.
The code P0300 means the computer saw a random engine misfire . The code P1521 in most cases set due to a failing engine oil pressure sensor. Start with making sure the engine has the correct oil in it and the pressure is okay and if so, replacing the oil pressure sender will usually resolve this concern.
Neither one of these code should affect the engine idle speed , that being said I would have them address the code P1521 first and see if doing so clears the stalling concern.
Yes, if the oil checks okay then he would check it by removing the old sending unit and installing a manual gauge to verify you have good oil pressure and if that checks okay then the sending unit would need to be replaced.
That would be the correct steps .
