My 9ascap sign is on and i dont know why
JA: What is the model/year of your Chrysler?
Customer: my gas cap is really tight nothing is wrong 2009
JA: Has the vehicle turned into a gas hog? And how does it start -- same as usual?
Customer: yes it start same as usual and i feel like i only drive a little milage and the patrol is getting less quicker than before
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: i have went in to the car repair and they say they can only help me read code if the check engine light is on but is not on
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no, i just tightened the gas cap and feel like patrol is loosing quickly

Ok, then do this: replace the fuel cap. Then disconnect the negative battery cable for 2 minutes and then reconnect it.

That will clear the gas cap message
