Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

There are quite a few things that could be causing the problem. If you do get a click from the engine compartment when turning the key to the crank position then the WIN shouldn't' be a concern. A single click when turning the key to the crank position is most likely coming from the starter. If so then the issue is either the starter, a poor engine ground or poor power feed to the starter.

Can you use a test light to check for power on the starter solenoid wire with the key in the crank position at the time it will not crank?
