Customer Question

I have a 2005 PT Cruiser 2.4 turbo auto 4 door GT. It has error codes:
P0031 HO2S heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 1
P0037 HO2S heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 2
When the vehicle is cold intermitently loses all power for brief periods. Seems to be OK once it is up to running temp and under way. I have replaced both oxygen sensors with no change. Any ideas?????
Cheers Ben

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

These codes could be setting because of a wiring issue or the sensors themselves. If they started setting at the same time then odds are you have a wiring issue. The sensor heaters both share the same ground and a loss of proper ground on the circuit will result in a code setting for both sensors at the same time.

Aftermarket sensors will set these codes also. If aftermarket sensors were used they may now be part of the issue, but if both of these codes started setting at the same time then I would recommend supplying a new ground to both sensor heater circuits.
