Customer Question

My 2011 Town and Country has the power liftgate, and the overhead console button and key fob will open the door, but neither will close the door, the screen just tells me to close it manually.
Any at home fix for this?

Do you have a scantool to see what codes are setting in the PSDM?

Have you checked the wiring harness at the bottom of the door for any breaks in the wire?

I could borrow a scan tool, but don't own one. Are you saying that the wiring harness in the sliding doors would affect the rear lift gate?
Expert:  Brad replied 4 months ago.

If your only having issues with your power liftgate then the very first step would be to check the codes in the PLGM which is the Power Liftgate Module. If you can borrow a scantool and not a code reader, then post the codes here so I can direct you to a repair.. I have attached the diagnostics..
