Hello and welcome. My name is ***** ***** you for visiting the site.

What might be the problem with it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The convertible top will not lock in place. Goes up and down won't finish cycle by latching.

I see, thanks.

It would be hard to say what the problem is. Possibly in the control module.

Any diagnosis of the power top system should begin with the use of a scan tool and the proper Diagnostic Procedures Information. The scan tool can provide confirmation that the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus is functional, that all of the electronic modules are sending and receiving the proper messages on the CAN data bus, and that the power top motor is being sent the proper hard wired output by the Power Top Control Module (PTCM).
