Hello, have you verified that there is power at the fuel level sensor?

are there any other gauges that do not work?

when you turn the key on and the gauges do the sweep from one end to the other does the fuel gauge move?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
gauge does move when key is turned ok

All other gauges work fine
Expert:  Lou P replied 10 months ago.

ok so far so good, now the next step would be to verify there is power at the fuel level sensor. what most likely has happened is there power or ground is damaged from the dash to the fuel level sensor.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Ok I can't find a wiring diagram for it that I can read
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
The fuel pump comes on everything works fine car runs great no check engine light just the fuel gauge does not work
Expert:  Lou P replied 10 months ago.

i have a diagram, and the fuel pump is on a separate circuit , for the level sensor there are 2 wires

  • dark blue (power positive wire)
  • black wire with light green stripe (ground negative wire )
Expert:  Lou P replied 10 months ago.

dark blue comes from the instrument cluster connector 2 pin 9

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Can you send picture of pin connector with numbers
Expert:  Lou P replied 10 months ago.

the ground goes to the right front fender between the shock and the front headlight.

Expert:  Lou P replied 10 months ago.

for the cluster??

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
for the cluster
Expert:  Lou P replied 10 months ago.

here you go, its the smaller 10 pin black connector.

Expert:  Lou P replied 10 months ago.

fuel pump module.

Expert:  Lou P replied 10 months ago.

as in fuel pump assembly.

Expert:  Lou P replied 10 months ago.

fastest way to do this is to remove the fuel tank or access the connector, check for power and ground then verify power is at the cluster wire and if needed run your own sire straight from the cluster wire to the fuel pump connector to see if it comes on, its called a wire overlay . hope this helps .
