2000 Dakota 4.7 service code p1391...has new timing kit, oe cmk and cmp sensors ...modis shows good graph patterns...replaced oil filled pcm, will only start with the exciter ring at 11:30 position....will not start with the v8 marks at 12:00...drove down the road with cam in 11:30 position...seemed ok but would stall on decal as it tried to find the base idle...hard cold start/stall....now after a few miles it falls to run and backfires through exh....rough run will catch if off idle.... vehicle came in with lack of power and stalling at idle....findings.....the timing chains were crossed, bad crank signal, bad crank connector/wiring...pcm filled with 1/2 cup of oil, pcm connectors saturated...4 of the coils had open boots...compression is at 160+...fuel psi is 45-50 with ok volume....

With that kind of history, we would need to see if the "Actual Sync Setting" is in range or not. Do you have a scan tool capable of that function?
