Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

There are many things that could prevent the starter from engaging but it appears the car is electrically dead except for the headlamps. If that's the case, the battery is good and fuses have been checked then the most likely cause would be the ignition switch or a broken ignition switch actuator pin, which goes between the lock cylinder and ignition switch.

Nothing whatsoever comes on when the key is turned to the run position?
