Customer Question

2007 Chrysler 300 Touring w/175,000 miles. Idles rough and inside lights flicker/shimmer. Hold brake and give gas (red lights and such) the rough goes away. Has new battery, timing belt, water pump, spark plugs. The car shakes in park and bump bump bump noise unless I give it gas.

It sounds to me as though the engine is idling too low.

Which engine is this?

I see several that came in this year, make and model and it is just a plain 300 or a 300c or a 300 awd?

Have you had any computer codes retrieved? If not, I would suggest you do and give them to me, especially if the check engine light is remaining on part bulb check.

I would retrieve those codes anyhow. I know on my truck, the check engine light has never come on although there are over a dozen codes stored in all of the modules combined.

I am looking for a P0506-IDLE SPEED PERFORMANCE LOWER THAN EXPECTED.

P050D-COLD START ROUGH IDLE.

or, P150D-COLD START ROUGH IDLE - OPEN THROTTLE START. Or anything for that matter.
