Hi Welcome to Just Answer! Which engine do you have in your aspen and what does it do if anything when you try to start it?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
It acts like it was wants to turn over but it doesn't
Expert:  b5demon replied 9 months ago.

so the engine cranks but doesn't start?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Yea
Expert:  b5demon replied 9 months ago.

ok it could be a few things. Fuel pump and crank position sensor are the most common issues.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
I've gotten those replace already
Expert:  b5demon replied 9 months ago.

which engine do you have and how many miles are on it?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
4.7 and a little over 127 thousand
Expert:  b5demon replied 9 months ago.

Have you replaced the cam shaft position sensor yet?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Expert:  b5demon replied 9 months ago.

ok just to make sure what you have done so far you have replaced the fuel pump, both the cam shaft and crankshaft position sensors?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
the alternator
Expert:  b5demon replied 9 months ago.

ok have you doubled checked the fuel pressure at the engine you should have around 45 psi

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
How do u check that?
Expert:  b5demon replied 9 months ago.

You will need a fuel pressure gage and a pressure t to hook the gage up

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Is there another alternative I don't have a kit available to me
Expert:  b5demon replied 9 months ago.

you really need a gage to check the proper fuel pressure the only other thing you can do is take the fuel line off at the fuel rail and put it in a container and see if it pumps fuel when you turn it to the run position

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Ok. Are there any other things that could possibly cause the truck not to start? Could anything with the fuel itself cause that problem? I've also had the key checked as well.
Expert:  b5demon replied 9 months ago.

it could be a timing issue or a computer issue also

Expert:  b5demon replied 9 months ago.

if you have fuel the next step would be check the computer with a scan tool

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Ok and how would you be able to dignose those two
Expert:  b5demon replied 9 months ago.

to check the timing you will need to remove the valve covers to check the cam positions in relation to the crank shaft position. The scan tool would allow you to check codes to see if anything is preventing it from starting

Please let me know if you need any more help with this issue
