Hi there. Welcome to our site.

Assuming engine compression is good, next thing to check would be spark - you could spray starting fluid down the throttle; if it starts, then we know spark is good and we look at fuel pressure or injector pulse to be the cause of the no-start.

Also, have you by any chance gotten any codes?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I already sprayed starting fluid and it didnt crank there's no lights on or codes
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I can smell gas when it turns over
Expert:  Juan Crespo replied 1 year ago.

OK. When you say "it didn't crank" you mean the starter doesn't turn the engine, or that the engine didn't start?

Also, do you know how to check for spark? If so, have you done that?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The starter turns but motor doesn't start
Expert:  Juan Crespo replied 1 year ago.

OK. Thanks for clarifying that.

Next, we could assume there's no spark and move on to checking why it is so, or you could confirm there's actually no spark with a spark tester (click here to see sample). By the way, what diagnostic tools do you have available?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Just a voltage meter

I'm sorry, but as much as I would like to help you solve your issue, there are basic tools you need to diagnose this type of concern. I'll opt out and leave the question open to other experts.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

How did you determine cam timing is correct?

Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 1 year ago.

Did the problem start not long after getting fuel?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok I took the cover of the timing belt the belt is new no teeth gone the cams ar exactly in line and the belt has tension i have spark ive sprayed starting fluid and nothing happened
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 1 year ago.

CAn you upload a picture of the cam and crank timing marks?

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
Ok I put a new timing belt on and lined up the cams and the crank. I have spark and I see gas spraying through when the plugs outi put a cam shaft position and crankshaft position sensor on im lost any ideas
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 12 months ago.

Do you have the timing covers back on?

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
I do I have it all back together
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 12 months ago.

Did you find the belt had actually broken or had jumped?

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
No the old belt looked new no teeth gone or any damage at all I still replaced it while I was that far into it
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 12 months ago.

What color is the spark?

How large of a gap will it jump?

What cylinders have been checked?

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
Good question I'll have to get back on that tomorrow what should I be looking for
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 12 months ago.

Note the color of the spark and how large of a gap it will jump on each cylinder.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Ok I checked all four cylinders that you have spark and it shoots about three quarters of an inch away from the plug and it is orange
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
when you're trying to crank it you can smell gas
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 11 months ago.

Are you checking spark with a spark plug inserted into the wires?

Is the engine cranking at a normal speed?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
It is cranking at normal speed and I had a spark plug in the spark plug wire
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 11 months ago.

It would be best to use a screwdriver or adjustable spark tester. With either of these if spark is still orange and you have full battery voltage on the dark green/orange wire at the coil then replace the coil.
