Will the vehicle drive at all or will it stall when you put it into gear?

Do you have a little lightening bolt icon on the dash?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
no it wont let us drive it, I have not noticed a lightning bolt. I should have mentioned we have to boost it to start

Does the engine die right after you take the jumper cables off?

It could be that the alternator is going bad. It could also be a really dead battery. Chrysler PCMs need consistent voltage to operate correctly. The battery acts as a voltage regulator to smooth out the voltage flow and if there is an internal short in the battery then it would make the PCM act up.

I think the first step will be to figure out what is wrong with the battery (why you have to jump it) and then determine how much voltage is coming out of the alternator (you will need a multimeter).
