Hello and welcome to just answer. Does the vehicle start and seem to run ok?
Ok, thanks. The problem is either the shifter assembly, or the shift interlock cable going from the ignition switch to the shifter assembly. You said that you can get it out of park if you use the over ride lever in the shifter assembly correct?
well that may be a blown fuse in the under hood fuse box. That could be related to the shift interlock cable solenoid not releasing the cable and allowing it to come out of park. The other thing it could be is the ignition switch itself. Check all of the fuses closely and replace any that are blown. Do that and get back to me.
Ok, if you are 100% sure that the fuses are ok, then go with the switch. That should take care of all of the issues.
Let me look up the wiring diagram. Be right back
Ok, do this: Remove the " Run relay" from the under hood IPM (fuse box) see if there is voltage on the # ***** cavity where the relay plugs into (look on the relay to see which one is #30). If you do, then jump cavity #30 to #87. See if things will now start working. If you do not have power on #30, then you may have an internal IPM failure. Let me know what you find.
Aha! Very good! Glad you got it figured out my friend!
