also about a month ago the windows wernt working. i opened the door panel and found that the wires to the motor were rubbing on the door and touching each other shorting everything out. i seperated the wires and taped them up and the windows worked fine until now.

If you have a test light or voltmeter, test voltage out of window switch. White should have voltage with switch in down position, Light blue should have voltage with switch in up position. Let me know what you find.

I tested the plug that plugs into the motor plug and I have power.

Power in both directions?

sir
Expert:  Dave Nova replied 1 year ago.

Connect your meter or test light across both of the wires then operate switch. If voltage is indicated then the ground is okay. Let me know.

I will try it tommorrow

Sounds good, will look forward to your response tomorrow.

Ok I went across both wires and I have voltage.
Expert:  Dave Nova replied 1 year ago.

If you have voltage across the two wires, the motor has failed. You may get it to temporarily work by tapping on the motor with a hammer while operating the switch, otherwise you will need to replace the motor.
