Customer Question

My car seems to be in limp mode at first gear. It's a 2004 pt cruiser. Could a transmission flush or solenoid replacement be a solution?

Hi, My name is ***** ***** for the delay.

I will do my best to assist you

please explain,,does it always go into limp?

does it ever shift correctly?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It went into limp for the first time ever tonight. It was fine when I left work and drove about 4 minutes to the gas station. After pumping my gas and then starting my car to drive home, it started. I had to park it for the night. Prior to that I have had no problems.

tell me,,if you remove both battery cables and touch and hold both the + and the - cables together for five seconds, then reinstall them back to the battery,,does it come out of limp?does it have all gears?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Had a diagnostic done. I just need a whole new transmission.

if it doesnt slip,,it may just need the solenoid block,,these solenoids will go bad from time to time
