what could be the issue with no start
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

Hi, can you pull the starter relay and stick a paper clip in the cavities pins 87 and 30 of the relay go in and let me know it the starter cranks the engine?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
but no injector pulse
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

Its not going to have injector pulse doing that. With the key in the crank position, 85 should have power and 86 should have ground. Can you check hose 2 pins and let me know which if not both are missing?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no ground to 86
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

Ok, check the yellow wire pin 4 at the ignition switch for power with the key in crank.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
got power
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

Does the check engine light come on when you turn the key to run?

Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

The reason I ask is if it's not coming on, that's a sign of a non-responsive PCM. It needs to be active for the starter to crank.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It does come on in the run position
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Actually no we have no check engine light coming on. The light may have been pulled is there another way to check?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Check for these powers and grounds at the PCM Connector 1 far left when looking at the front. Pins 9 and 18 need a good ground, 11 and 12 should be hot with the key in run, and 29 should be hot at all times. Let me know if any of those are missing.

Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

Hi, have you checked for the powers and grounds at the pcm?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The pcm is sideways under the front driver headlight correct? Which connector would I be checking?
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

Yes, when looking at the front, C1 the farthest left. C4 (transmission portion) is green and farthest right.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the black one?
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

Yes sir.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Okay they all have the ought ground and power
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Right
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

The pin out of the connector is what I posted in this thread 9 and 18 are grounds, 11 and 12 should be hot in run, 29 should be hot at all times.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yeah they both had grounds and the other three had the right power when key was on
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

Ok, do you have a scan tool?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yeah just an obd reader or like the snap on computer?
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

A higher end snap on would be better but can your code reader communicate with the pcm and get codes from it? If not and all the powers and grounds are present, it's a pretty good sign the pcm is bad.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have the obd reader here but I can get a snap on one from the shop and bring it over. Yeah I was thinking it might be pcm it was just weird how pulling out a fuse the other day made the ignition start turning over for no reason so it made me think some wires might be crossed somewhere
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

One other thing to check is the big ground wire on the drivers side of the transmission towards the front of the transmission on the side. It's common for that wire to rip out of the eyelet when the front motor mount breaks.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yeah like the one bolted to the frame with like 4 grounds or so in it?
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

It's 1 big like 4 gauge wire on the side of the transmission towards the front with I think a 13mm bolt in it.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Okay installed new computer today and it started 5 timespans shut off now it won't turn over at all
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

Ok, it sounds like an immobilizer issue. You need to run the PCM replaced function in the SKIM module with a scan tool after you replaced the PCM with a new or used one. Did you do that?

Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

Also, please leave a positive rating if you're happy with this service. We don't get paid if you don't rate or leave a negative rating. Thanks, Jon.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Okay I have a mobile locksmith coming in. I'll definitely leave a positive rating just wanna make sure I don't have any moe questions and I get the car running
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I had my mobile key man come and he still has no communication with the key to the pcm he thinks I need to order a new skim or skeer module in the key?
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

Its possible, check for the powers and grounds at the skim module. If they're there and the PCI bus wire ohms out ok to the data link, the skim module is bad.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Okay what are the correct grounds and ohms?
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

I gave you the connector pinout of the skim attached to the last message.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I just see the pic of the plug with nothing else but a number 1 and 6
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

Sorry, I thought it had the pinout in it.

Okay so I need the correct ohms to wire 2. Power when the keys on the pin 4 . Ground to 5 And power to 6?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
This plug?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Okay I found the plug and tested the grounds and power what's the ohms it's supposed to read?
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

Between pin 2 of the skim and pin 2 of the data link should be less than 2 ohms. White/violet wire.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Like pin 2 of the obd? Staryungbfrom right to left on the top?
