Hi, unfortunately, you're going to have to remove the hvac box and take it apart to see why the door is jammed. Here is the procedure to remove it:

C-4755 - Trim Stick

Originally Shipped In Kit Number(s) 9299, 9299CC, 9299CC, 9300A-CAN.

1.Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

2.Remove center console closeout panel. (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/COVER, Instrument Panel - Removal) .

3.Remove front floor console assembly. (Refer to 23 - Body/Interior/CONSOLE, Floor - Removal) .

4.Remove floor console base assembly two screws attaching L-brackets to instrument panel. (Refer to 23 - Body/Interior/CONSOLE, Floor - Removal) .

5.Remove nuts attaching the floor braces to instrument panel. (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/BRACKET, Instrument Panel - Removal) .

6.Remove steering column opening cover. (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/COVER, Steering Column Opening - Removal) .

7.Remove the four inflatable knee blocker mounting screws.

8.Remove two screws attaching instrument panel trim outlet plate.

9.Using a Trim Stick C-4755 or equivalent, disengage the locking tabs attaching instrument panel trim plate.

10.Disengage braking brake handle from brake park release bracket, leave rod engaged.

11.Remove instrument panel reinforcement.

12.Disconnect bulkhead wiring harness connectors.

13.Disconnect body control module wiring connectors.

14.Remove upper and lower steering column shrouds. (Refer to 19 - Steering/Column/SHROUD, Steering Column - Removal) and (Refer to 19 - Steering/Column/SHROUD, Steering Column - Removal) .

15.Disconnect steering column wiring connectors.

16.Disconnect steering column pinch bolt and retaining nuts (4). (Refer to 19 - Steering/Column/SHAFT, Intermediate - Removal) .

17.Disconnect brake light wiring connectors.

18.Remove steering column retaining nuts.

19.Remove shift interlock cable. (Refer to 21 - Transmission and Transfer Case/Automatic - 41TE/CABLE, Shift Interlock - Removal) .

20.Remove both left and right side A-pillar trim. (Refer to 23 - Body/Interior/PANEL, A-Pillar Trim - Removal) .

21.Remove and discard instrument panel end caps. (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/CAP, Instrument Panel End - Removal) .

22.Remove both front door sill scuff plates. (Refer to 23 - Body/Interior/PLATE, Scuff - Removal) .

23.Remove both cowl side trim panel. (Refer to 23 - Body/Interior/PANEL, Cowl Trim - Removal) .

24.Disconnect the antenna lead connector. (Refer to 08 - Electrical/Audio and Video/BODY AND CABLE, Antenna - Removal) .

25.Remove the glove box:

a.Push in on sides of glove box bin and lower door.

b.Pivot glove box downward and disengage hinge hooks from instrument panel.

c.Remove glove box from vehicle.

26.Disconnect the airbag module electrical connector.

27.Remove top cover. (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/COVER, Instrument Panel - Removal) .

28.Remove mounting screws attaching right instrument panel side cowl bracket (roll down).

29.Disconnect HVAC electrical connectors.

30.Disconnect the three electrical connectors behind cowl panel.

31.Disconnect right side electrical connector from A-pillar.

32.Remove the two screws attaching the instrument panel frame to the dash panel below windshield opening.

33.With the help of an assistant remove the instrument panel from vehicle. Lift the instrument panel up off the HVAC so you won't damage the sealing surface of the distribution duct.

If the instrument panel is being replaced, transfer all parts to the new instrument panel assembly.

24 - Heating and Air Conditioning/Distribution, Front/HOUSING, HVAC/Removal

HVAC HOUSING

WARNING:Disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable. Wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.

WARNING:Refer to the applicable warnings and cautions for this system before performing the following operation (Refer to 24 - Heating and Air Conditioning/Plumbing - Warning) and (Refer to 24 - Heating and Air Conditioning/Plumbing - Caution) . Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

NOTE:The HVAC housing must be removed from the vehicle and disassembled for service of the air inlet housing, air distribution housing and the A/C evaporator.

NOTE:Take the proper precautions to protect the front face of the instrument panel from cosmetic damage while performing this procedure.

1.Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system (Refer to 24 - Heating and Air Conditioning/Plumbing - Standard Procedure) .

2.Drain the engine cooling system (Refer to 07 - Cooling - Standard Procedure) .

3.Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

4.Disconnect the A/C liquid and suction lines from the A/C expansion valve (Refer to 24 - Heating and Air Conditioning/Plumbing/LINE, A/C Liquid - Removal) .

5.Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core tubes. Install plugs in, or tape over the opened heater core tubes to prevent coolant spillage during housing removal.

6.Remove the three nuts (1) that secure the HVAC housing mounting studs (2) to the engine compartment side of the dash panel (3).

7.Remove the instrument panel from the passenger compartment (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/PANEL, Instrument - Removal) .

8.Remove the nut (1) and bolt (2) that secure the HVAC housing (3) to the passenger compartment side of the dash panel (4).

9.Pull the HVAC housing rearward to clear the dash panel and remove the HVAC housing from the passenger compartment.

10.If required, disassemble the HVAC housing (Refer to 24 - Heating and Air Conditioning/Distribution/HOUSING, HVAC - Disassembly) .
